Wildlife Viewing Areas

Cherry Creek State Park has several wildlife viewing areas where no pets, bikes or horses are allowed. There is also a wetlands preserve. For the nature lover or photographer, these are ideal areas to rest and take in the amazing designs in God’s creation.  An assortment of animals, flowers, trees, and birds are just waiting to be enjoyed. God has given us so much information in nature, and it is exciting to study what is there.  A park ranger can lead you through an interpretive program, but it’s unlikely to be a God-honoring presentation, so keep that in mind.  If you take the Prairie Loop Nature Trail, just 1/4 mile, there is an observation platform overlooking the lake.
