Curt Gowdy State Park, containing three reservoirs, is well-known as a prime location for bird watchers and fishermen. However, there is much more to be enjoyed at this beautiful state park. With 139 camping sites, 35 that can be reserved, and just 15 with water & electric hook-ups, make your vacation plans and reservations today.

The Curt Gowdy State Park trail system now includes over 30 miles of trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and fishing. Trails vary from easy to extremely difficult. All the trails allow you to experience the amazing scenery around the reservoirs.  For mountain bikers, this is the only trail system in the state of Wyoming with the Epic designation by the IMBA. Plus, Curt Gowdy hosts the well-known Stone Temple Mountain Bike Camp.  Also included in the trails at the park are four free ride play areas, a skills area, and a dedicated four mile equestrian loop. Curt Gowdy State Park is conveniently located near two interstates (I-80 & I-25) and is equal distance from Cheyenne and Laramie. The area is rich in native American history. Scenery in the foothills of the spectacular Laramie Mountains is incredible.
