Glendo Trails Festival

Having hosted three annual trails festivals at Glendo State Park, the Wyoming State Parks, Historic Sites, and Trails is building awareness of and adding miles to the trails in the park. Now, with over 40 miles of biking/hiking trails, Glendo is is becoming a popular destination for recreational and competitive mountain biking. The Glendo Trails Festival, held last year in June, is a FREE event for the public. Free entrance to park and overnight camping, free lunch and dinner, free t-shirt to first 100 registrants, and free bike helmets from WDOT, but be sure to make your reservations early in order to take advantage of all the freebies. The three elements of the festival are volunteer trail building, trails events, and the Rattlesnake Rampage bike race (which has a fee to participate, but the funds go right into trail building). There are also bike demos and a raffle drawing with a nice prize, but you can only participate if you RSVP.
