Yurt Rental

I am sold on the YURTS! What a fantastic way to go camping! As you drive toward the Castle, you pass an area with four yurts, dome-shaped structures made of a sturdy fabric (heavier weight than a tent) with solar panels, skylights, and large decks. Each yurt has its own fire ring, picnic table (though the aluminum looks out of place), and an outdoor gas grill.  Inside you find two bunk beds, a table and chairs, a captain’s chair, and a wood stove. The upper bunks are both twins, but the lower are full size and one is a futon, so it serves as a couch during the day. These were very clean and a huge step up from tent camping. They are available to rent, and I would recommend you reserve early because I’m sure they go fast. Yurt #2 is handicap accessible and #4 has the best view of the main reservoir. However, the view from all four yurts is quite amazing. We did see pit toilets, but I would recommend bringing in your own water.
