Coulter Bay Area

Click here for Camping Reservations or call 877-996-7275 Furthest to the west in Keyhole State Park, near the town of Pine Haven, is  the Coulter Bay Area, which has a paved boat ramp with a dock and plenty of parking space. There is also a modern fish cleaning station nearby to meet the needs of the successful anglers. Dumpsters, pit toilets, and a covered shelter with tables and a grill are also available for day use. In the same area, Mule Creek Point could also be a load in place for a canoe or kayak. Pit toilets are there as well. The highlight of our visit to Coulter Bay Area was watching the youth jump off the rocky cliffs into the water! It looked like a blast! The water was obviously quite chilly, but the bravest ones didn’t let that deter them. We got several pictures while we were there. According to the park staff, people come from all over the U.S. to jump off those cliffs. The Coulter Bay Area has a group camping space with tables, fire rings and pit toilets. There is also an area for tents right on the edge of the cliffs that overlook the water. These are first come, first served. Absolutely breath-taking scenery surrounds the Keyhole Reservoir, and Keyhole State Park gives you access to the most stunning parts of the landscape. Services in this area are discontinued after September 30.
