Mississinewa Lake

Mississinewa Lake has excellent camping, hiking, fishing, hunting and boating. With four state recreation areas, and plenty of sports activities, you can find all you are looking for in your vacation. Rent a cabin, pack in a tent, or drive in your RV, you will have an amazing time at Mississinewa Lake.

State Recreation Areas

  • Miami SRA features a 400-plus-site campground with family cabins available for rent. It also offers biking/hiking trails, a fishing pier, a disc golf course and sports area.
  • Frances Slocum SRA has a paved hiking trail in the picnic area, as well as an observation mound near the dam.
  • Red Bridge SRA has a large paved boat ramp and marina for your convenience.
  • Pearson Mill SRA is located near the seasonal wildlife refuge on the north side of the lake.

Picnic Shelters

Picnic shelters can be reserved and are available in the Miami and Frances Slocum recreation areas. Mississinewa Lake can be accessed from boat ramps located in all four state recreation areas.

Mississinewa Lake is one of the three Upper Wabash flood-control reservoirs. The 3,210 acre lake is part of the 14,386 acre state recreation area near Peru, Indiana. The Upper Wabash Interpretive Services provide activities throughout the year. Check out what’s happening and join in the fun.
